Snowfall warning for
Snowfall amounts could exceed 15 centimetres in these regions Monday.
A low pressure system moving up from the American Midwest and another
low along the Eastern Seaboard will combine and cause snow to develop
as of early Monday morning throughout Southwestern Quebec. The snow
will move toward Eastern Quebec late in the day.
As the area of precipitation will be very large, transportation will
be an issue. It is therefore recommended that commuters check road
Meanwhile, a low pressure system over the Labrador Sea is still
giving moderate to strong westerly winds over the Northern Gaspé Peninsula and Anticosti Island this evening. These winds are
producing waves that will affect a few coastal areas. As the current
high tidal range period draws to an end, there is a slight risk of
breaking sea conditions along the coast during late-day high tide.
